Social and environmental initiatives

At THEY, we are committed to making a positive impact on both our environment and the communities we serve. We have implemented several initiatives to contribute towards sustainability and social welfare. 

Here are some key programs we are actively working on:

Tree Planting Initiative

As part of our commitment to environmental sustainability, we have set a target to plant 10 trees per employee every year. We have partnered with Grow Trees (www.grow-trees.com) to achieve this goal. This initiative not only helps combat climate change but also demonstrates our dedication to the environment and the communities where we operate. Each tree planted contributes to reforestation efforts, helping to restore ecosystems and reduce our carbon footprint.

Community Service Leave

We believe in the power of giving back to the community. To encourage employees to contribute to causes they care about, we have introduced a Community Service Leave program. Each employee is entitled to 6 days of community service leave every year. This leave can be used for volunteering with non-governmental organizations (NGOs), participating in local community events, or supporting charitable initiatives. We encourage employees to use this time to make a difference in their local communities.

Collaboration with NGOs

Each year, we will partner with a non-profit organization to help them with their branding and communication needs. By offering our expertise, we aim to help these NGOs position themselves more effectively, raise awareness for their causes, and improve their overall outcomes. Our collaboration with NGOs will amplify their efforts, allowing them to create greater social impact and connect with a wider audience.

Carbon Offset Program

To further reduce our environmental footprint, we have established a baseline for our carbon emissions starting in 2024. As part of our commitment to sustainability, we will purchase carbon offsets for each calendar year to neutralize the impact of our operations. This initiative is part of our broader strategy to lower our overall environmental impact and support the global transition to a low-carbon economy.

Waste Segregation‍

We are actively practicing waste segregation at our Delhi office as part of our efforts to reduce waste and improve recycling. We also aim to encourage employees to adopt similar practices at home, promoting sustainability in their personal lives. Moving forward, we will expand our waste reduction initiatives and engage with larger communities to foster widespread environmental consciousness. Through these efforts, we aspire to create a positive environmental impact both within our company and in the broader society.
